By plane
Amerigo Vespucci Airport is just five km northwest of the city centre.
To get to Florence you can either take a taxi outside of the arrivals
hall, or take a shuttle bus “Vola in bus”, departures every 30 minutes
from the airport and from SITA coach station (piazza Stazione) to the
airport. Tickets can be purchased on board as well as inside the airport
or at the Sita coach station and at the Ataf ticket booth (Stazione di
Santa Maria Novella).
Galileo Galilei Airport - Pisa, is about 80 km from Florence. The
easiest way to reach Florence from Galilei airport is by train (about
one every hour). Inside Florence S. Maria Novella railway station Air
Terminal, at track n. 5, passenger and baggage check-in for all flights
leaving from Pisa Galilei Airport. Rail tickets for Pisa Airport also on
sale.
